This month we finished our journey through Ancient China. Now we are starting our exciting civilizations project for our living museum Mar. 16th.

Playing Marbles with Newton

As a culminating activity on Newton, we played a game of classic marbles and applied our knowledge of Newton's laws to what we saw during play.  The Wildcats loved the game and it was fantastic to hear them working together to figure out how each of Newton's laws applied.

Seabury CSI Experience

Attention all Wildcat Families!!!

One of our lovely Seabury parents has volunteered to provide one lucky classroom with the chance to become CSI Investigators. 

The chosen class will get the chance to solve a handcrafted mystery designed to enhance our investigative skills in an engaging and creative experience. The students will have the chance to use forensic investigative methods such as fingerprinting to solve this mystery.

In our classroom (by the door) is a big blue board with slips that you can fill out to bid on the chance for our class to be that chosen group.  Please take a look at it and bid as soon as possible.

100th Day M&Ms

To celebrate our 100th day in school we did a graphing activity that answered the question: What is the most common color in a group of a hundred randomly drawn M&Ms?  The answer ORANGE!

Korean Presentation & Send off party

On Friday we were treated to a wonderful presentation of Korean Culture. Wildcats, as well as our Barracuda & Navigator friends, learned how to say hello and thank you in Korean

They also got a chance to dress up in traditional dresses and play a chop stix  game. Finally, they were given a chance to say goodbye to our Korean friends.

Wing Luke Museum & International District

We had a fantastic time on our tour of the International District!

We participated in the traditional Lion Dance.  The Wildcats made fierce lions!

We learned the traditional folktale of Nian the New Year's monster.  We worked together to create a picture of what we thought it looked like.

We learned some fascinating facts about the history of the International District and the cultures that inhabit it.

We played Lucky Chess and found out what our good luck numbers were for the year.
